Invest, grow, exit
We invest in commercial businesses with a view to sustainably grow them and exit over a 5-7 year time horizon. Our goal for growth is mostly organic, sometimes acquisitive, but always built around the people running the business.
Invest
We look for businesses led by strong operators, in industries we have experience or networks, and where there’s a path to growth. We invest because we see upside, and our approach builds on the foundations already laid.
Grow
Our role is to own the commercial and financial management, support on strategy and step in operationally when its needed. Pair that with an operator who owns delivery and you get a business that compounds.
Exit
While every business we invest in has an exit horizon, we don’t have the time constraints of a typical fund. We can be patient and flexible to exit well when the time is right. Owners who keep a stake share in that outcome.

What we look for
The quality of the business and the person behind it matter more than the industry. We're looking for B2B service businesses in tangible industries where we can grow and add value, including those that need work.
Trade services, electrical, logistics, facilities management, and adjacent commercial sectors.
$3m+ revenue, typically project based work with existing admin and accounts staff.
We work with owners who want to stay and grow, and owners who are ready to step back. Owners who retain a stake grow with us.

With a background in business ownership/management and a strong track record across trade services and commercial SMEs, Luke built VentureSense to back good businesses, develop strong operators and exit well.

Tyler McKay
Tyler came up through equity markets before crossing over to the operating side. He joined VentureSense to put that experience to work by investing in and growing quality businesses.
